Archaeological Site of Damos

Damos is located in the north of the main road. It was an ancient settlement which, according to archaeological evidence, flourished from the early Hellenistic period to the Late Roman period. Excavations in recent years have revealed a paved way and on both sides there were houses, workshops and wells. North of the village there are still the remains of the wall that protected the place. Outside the wall (on the north) you can see several ancient tombs such as the tombs with the golden offerings near the chapel of Prophet Elias.

The outdoor area is always open to the public.
